R.U. Student Reporting Award

This page links to details of the $100
Roosevelt University Student Reporting Award.

Basically, it is open to undergraduates and graduate students
for work done in journalism courses and internships, and
for work done for Roosevelt student media such as the Torch newspaper,
during the year preceding the entry deadline.

The first award was in 2007.
Entries for 2009-2010 are being accepted through March 22, 2010.

New 1/15/10: Faculty consensus on plural stories or entries:
Only one entry per student, so pick your best work.
Plural stories (a “set”) are permitted if closely related,
such as a story-sidebar, series or package on a single broad topic.
We will judge
up to three stories or 3,000 words or equivalent in A-V.
If the set is larger, either: Submit only the three/3,000; or
submit those parts on top with the rest below as addendums.
Only the top three/3,000 will be assessed by judges; for the rest, the
judges may ignore, or review them lightly for context.
