For Alumni & Visitors The Roosevelt University Performing Arts Library invites RU graduates to continue to use its services. Alumni privileges include the ability to borrow books and scores as well as use facilities such as the group study rooms Alumni are restricted in the number of items from the PAL collection they may have on loan. No more than five items are allowed to be charged out to one patron at any time. In addition to this limitation, all online resources may be used on campus only. Your Alumnus Card Your Alumnus card also serves as a library card. Call the Alumni Office at 312-341-3624 to obtain your Roosevelt Alumni ID. Once you have the alumni card, bring the card to the library. Library staff will set up an account on our system and affix a barcode to the back of the card. This barcode will allow you to check out books and renew your books online in I-Share, our online book catalog. You may be asked for a driver’s license or state ID to verify your current address. Library accounts must be renewed every three months. If you have not yet received an alumni card, the library staff must verify your status before setting up an account. Call the library between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. if you plan on an evening or weekend visit. For Visitors Patrons Enrolled in a CARLI School CARLI patrons may check out books and scores for a period of 28 days, with the exception of reference books and scores. Complete circulation privileges can be found on the circulation information page. CARLI patrons must owe no fines at both the Roosevelt library and their home institutions. Patrons with no Roosevelt or CARLI affiliation Patrons with no affiliation with Roosevelt University or any CARLI school may use the library collection in-house only, and the staff may ask to hold an ID while library materials or facilities are being used.
