Dr. Choca

Neuropsychological Assessment

1. What did the instructor in this course do that most contributed to your learning and appreciation of course content?

-The professor provided application of facts and materials as well as practical work. Providing multiple speakers was a plus.

-Forced weekly quizzes and bringing in multiple speakers.

-Forced us to read this huge, reference like textbook and quizzed us every week so I definitely learned about neuropsych tests.

-invitations of speakers and demonstrations of multiple tests.

-The hands-on opportunities (i.e., wms, continuous performance test)

-Gave us assessment materials to use and practice with.

-Brought in speakers proficient in Neuropsychology and made us read

-Examples and brought in presenters

2. What other aspects of the course (e.g. Text Books, Hand-outs, Organization, Outline Access, etc) positively contributed to your learning?

-It was an excellent class with great organization.

-Hand-outs and examples of tests

-In-class speakers really added to our experience; They gave a nice addition to the tests we were studying

-The textbooks are great for future reference, but a struggle to read.

-Speakers

-Great speakers

-The textbooks were good, and the hand-outs were of good use.

-The Book: Lezak

3. What changes would you recommend in the instruction, organization, and materials provided in this course?

-Reading Lezak from cover to cover is quite cumbersome.

-No case presentations unless a different book.

-More test demonstrations

-I felt the text used (Lezak) was more of a reference use book than a textbook.

-More time to experiment with different tests; a book with cases

-More focus on administering and scoring tests.

-Add articles that go along with the readings.
