If you are one of my advisees in the PLS Program, you may contact me anytime during the academic year for advising concerns and questions.  Email is the best way to get in touch with me (mbryson@roosevelt.edu).  I recommend contacting me during the fall and spring advising periods to take advantage of advance registration for the following semester.

During each semester's advising period (which for Spring 2010 starts Nov. 1st), you should contact me about your classes for the following semester and/or with other advising questions.  Once I approve your course plan, I'll email you a registration code for RU Access so you can register.  If you would like to see me in person, you can come in during my office hours (below) or schedule an appointment. I also am happy to chat with you on the phone in lieu of a meeting.

Before You Email Me:

  • Make sure you have an updated and signed copy of the Curriculum Checksheet (course plant) for your declared major (e.g., psychology, paralegal studies, etc.).  If you need a fresh copy, I can mail or fax you one.

  • Check the online course schedule for class availability.

  • Make sure you don't have any holds on your registration by checking RU Access.

  • Check your RU student email for important announcements from me or the university.

Include in Your Email:

  • Your name, student ID, declared major, and phone number

  • The classes you wish to take in the upcoming semester, including dept, course number, and title

  • Any questions or concerns you have (e.g., choice of major)
