Research Interests
My research involves the study of ribosome biogenesis, the process by which ribosomes (the protein-synthesizing machines of the cell) are generated and assembled. I use the brewer's yeast, S. cerevisiae, as a model system for studying ribosomes and protein synthesis in general.
