about
I’m a ‘jill’-of-all-trades who is stimulated by the intersection of art and technology. As a multimedia technologist, I am equal parts designer, photographer and "IT guy."

My skill set developed within the graphic design world. I attended design school when the graphic design industry was going digital. This was an ideal situation because it put students and instructors side by side to learn new industry standards but ensured students were rooted in traditional printing processes. I discovered my passion for technology while enrolled in this program.

Over the past few years I have expanded my skill set to include still and video photography. My experience has taken me from terrestrial news assignments to aquatic artifact documentation. Both mediums have put me in the driver’s seat of an editing station.

Being a computer geek helps me explore the art–technology intersection. For instance, I feel my knowledge of code allows me to fine tune my Flash and web projects in a way that the software alone cannot. It is in this fine tuning process that I can bring the principles of design to my web and motion graphics projects.

I have worked in the academic technology world since 2005. I first worked for the Indiana University School of Journalism as director of the Visual Communications Lab and then for Apple as a Campus Rep. I have worked at Roosevelt since December 2008.
