Biography
Karen Ann Cullotta, is a frequent contributor to The New York Times, and is a former staff writer for the Chicago Tribune and the Daily Herald. Ms. Cullotta has a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism from Roosevelt University; a Master of Science degree in journalism from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism; and has completed her doctoral coursework in educational leadership at Roosevelt University. She will begin her dissertation research in 2009, exploring the relationship between a neighborhood tutoring center and the academic prospects of adolescent Latinas.
